We were originally contacted by Larry from Planet 13 in the summer of 2018. After an in-depth phone conversation where the full scope of the new project was discussed it was time for the Steel Vintage design team to get to work.
Having seen our Brunel desk, Larry knew instantly this was going to be ideal for his new office. However a more traditional pedestal desk was also required along with a matching sideboard and so we got to work on two new designs. Using the Brunel as inspiration we were able to apply some of the key features to our existing Tanker desk and Engineering sideboard. The results were a stunning collection with each piece working perfectly to create a real statement.
Along with the new Brunel desks and storage a large boardroom table was also required. After some consideration the Pilot table proved to be the best choice. At 3200L x 1400W and weighing in at over 500kg this was definitely a ‘Wow’ piece. Due to access restrictions and to make transportation easier we decided to make the top in two sections.
Once complete everything was carefully packaged and loaded into bespoke timber shipping containers. Delivery then took less than 2 weeks from our workshop to Las Vegas via air freight.
The client was able to arrange installation aided by the help of our easy assembly instructions.
