When we were approached by Endemol Shine to produce a 7m by 2m Industrial Walnut boardroom table we jumped at the chance.
They had originally been looking at ‘off the shelf’ products from traditional furniture companies but were unimpressed with what was available and also the prices they were asking.
Luckily they spoke with a previous customer of ours who suggested they visit to see the table that we supplied them. This was a 3.6m Classic X table with a stunning Walnut top. Instantly the client knew they had found what they were looking for and set us the brief.
The Brief
They required a huge table in 6 modular sections with a solid Walnut top. The steel base need to be substantial enough to support the top sections and also include integrated cable management. We decided to use our Grand Artisan table as the basis of our design and added horizontal support braces to allow for a large overhang at each end of the table. The table features discrete cable trays, handmade book matched Walnut cable grommets and carefully designed legs that allow for cables to pass through from the top of the table to the floor.
